Caring for a Loved One with Dementia: Effective Communication Strategies
November 5 @ 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm

Communication is more than just talking and listening – it is also about sending and receiving messages through tone of voice, facial expressions and body language. As people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias progress in their journey, families need new ways to connect. Join us as Community Educator Dona Hedgecock, with the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Chapter, instructs you on how to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and shares strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.
RSVP below. You may also contact Jodi at 336-545-4245 or at jkolada@well-spring.org
Please let Jodi know if you need respite care for your loved one during this time, as prior arrangements are required.
